Our Journey
Making Periods Normal began its journey in two districts of Bihar- Munger and Bhagalpur. In its ideation and pilot phase, the programme kick started by conducting a baseline survey in 4 out of the 11 blocks and 19 panchayats in Munger. SEWA spearheaded the baseline by collecting information from 90 households in 5 days.
The MHM programme is led by 4 awareness partners – Restless Developers, SEWA, BVHA and Pratham and a distributor partner, Dharma Life. All five partners together went through regular brainstorming within the group along with experts to arrive at and provide best solutions to reach desired impact.
The awareness project was designed in a way such that each partner brought with itself a set of expertise to work on this programme The conflux of all the five key partners paved a powerful movement to drive change around Menstrual Hygiene Management.
